Youth killed in Elephant Road crash

A youth was killed on Saturday in a road accident at Elephant Road in the capital.

The deceased was identified as Delwar Hossain (26).

A duty officer of New Market Police Station told the FE that Delwar met the fatal incident when a vehicle hit him at around 6:00 am.

He was crossing the road near Elephant Road Bata signal in the city.

Police rushed to the spot and brought him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the attending doctor declared him dead.

Delwar was an employee at Star Kabab and Restaurant.

Son of late Nazrul Islam Kotowal of Chandpur Sadar upazila, he used to live at a rented house at Elephant Road.

A case was filed with the concerned police station.
