Zahid for maintaining health safety guidelines

MANIKGANJ, Nov 21 (BSS): Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque today said the Ministry of Health cannot control the spreading of COVID-19 alone without wearing face mask by the people and maintain distancing as those are the main instruments of prevention of further transmission of COVID-19 until available of its vaccine.

The Health Minister said this while laying foundation stone of a bridge at Hargoj under Saturia Upazila of the district.

He urged the people to maintain the health safety guidelines and other rules, set by the government strictly.

The health minister said the present government is the symbol of development adding that no other governments in the past could do such development of the country what the present government of Sheikh Hasina has done.

The function held at Hargoj Shaheed Smriti High School premises was chaired by Hargoj Union Parishad Chairman Anwar Hossain Jyoti.

It was attended among others by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ashraful Alam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Matiur Rahman Miah, Manikganj Sadar Upazila Awami League General Secretary Afsaruddin Sarkar and Manikganj Poura Awami League President Monayem Khan.
