110 BNP men acquitted in subversion case

A Dhaka court has acquitted 110 leaders and activists of BNP, including its joint secretary general Habib-Un-Nabi Khan Sohel, in a subversion case filed with the capital's Ramna thana, reports BSS.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Saifuzzaman passed the order on TUesday, accepting the final report filed by the police in the case on August 21 last.

The others, who were acquitted by the court, are: former senior joint convener Nabiullah Nabi, national standing committee member Dr Rafikul Islam, Swechchhasebok Dal Dhaka South unit joint convener Nazrul Islam and former president of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Razib Al Ahsan.

Police filed the case for vandalising vehicles and obstructing law enforcers in the performance of their duties in the capital on July 26, 2018.
