1,673 held in nationwide drive

In the ongoing nationwide operation, 1,673 more crime suspects were arrested and nine firearms and ammunition were seized in the last 24 hours, reports BSS.

According to the press release of the Police Headquarters on Thursday, 1,135 individuals were apprehended in previous cases and outstanding warrants while remaining 538 others in various criminal charges.

One foreign made pistol, one gun, three one shooter guns, two round of bullet, one round of cartridges, one magazine and several sharp weapons were seized during the operation.
