38 Sundarbans robbers surrender

BAGERHAT, Jan 16 (UNB): Some 38 members of three more robber gangs of the Sundarbans, including their ringleaders, surrendered to law enforcers on Tuesday in a bid to return to normal life.
They gave in at the Rapid Action Battalion-8 headquarters in Barisal in the presence of Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan in the afternoon.
Rab sources said those surrendered were active members of 'Baro Bhai Bahini', 'Bhai Bhai Bahini' and 'Sumon Bahini' robber gangs.
They also handed over 38 local and foreign firearms and 2,969 bullets.
