ACC files graft case against ex-deputy speaker Tuku

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against former Deputy Speaker Md Shamsul Haq Tuku on charges of acquiring assets worth about Tk 35.9 million inconsistent with his known sources of income, reports BSS.
On the same allegation, the commission has ordered his two sons and one daughter-in-law to submit their wealth statements, said ACC Director General Md Akhtar Hossain in a regular media briefing at the ACC headquarters in the capital on Thursday.
An ACC inquiry found that Md Shamsul Haq Tuku's lawful income amounted to approximately Tk 33 million.
