AL leader Abul Kalam dies

Shariatpur Sadar Upazila Awami League (AL) general secretary Abul Kalam died at a city hospital on Tuesday, reports BSS.

He was 67.

He is survived by wife, son and three daughters.

Prime Minister (PM) Sheikh Hasina expressed her profound sorrow at the death of Abul Kalam. In a condolence message, she prayed for eternal peace of his departed soul.

and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family.

In separate messages, Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader and Shariatpur-3 constituency lawmaker Iqbal Hossain Apu also expressed deep shock at his death.
