A Rajshahi court on Saturday placed Awami League (AL) leader Dablu Sarker on a 5-day remand over allegations of shooting at protesters during the Anti-discrimination Student Movement on August 05, reports BSS.
Metropolitan Magistrate Court-1 Judge Faisal Tarek passed the order as police produced Dablu before the court seeking a 10-day remand for interrogation.
The court granted the remand in killings of students Abu Raihan and Sakib Anjum in students' mass upsurge on August 5 in Rajshahi.
Earlier, members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Dablu Sarker, Rajshahi City Unit General Secretary of Bangladesh Awami League, from Naogaon district last night.
