Anne\\\'s bail in 3 cases extended until Dec 31

FARIDPUR, Oct 13 (UNB): A local court extended Monday the bail of BNP leader Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Anne until December 31 in three cases.

Judge of the Judicial Court-7 Sarowar Hossain passed the order when Anne, BNP's student affairs secretary, appeared before the court, seeking the bail extension.

The three cases were filed against the BNP leader on March 11, 2013 for terming Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Engineer Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain 'razakar' while speaking at a meeting in the capital last year.

The minister himself filed a defamation case and a Tk 500 million compensation suit while his younger brother Khandaker Mohtesham Hossain Babar the other defamation case.
