Arguments on Sayedee\\\'s appeal Jan 28

The law-point arguments over the appeal on the verdict pronounced by the International Crimes Tribunal-1 (ICT-1) sentencing Jamaat-e-Islami leader Delwar Hossain Sayedee to death on war crimes charges will take place before the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court (SC) on January 28, reports UNB.

A 5-member Appellate Division bench, led by Chief Justice M Muzammel Hossain, passed the order on the 24th day of the appeal hearing Tuesday.

On February 28 last year, the ICT-1 awarded capital punishment to Sayedee for committing crimes against humanity during the 1971 Liberation War.
