BCL leader on remand for firing on students

FENI, Oct 10 (UNB): Shafiqul Islam Samrat, a local Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) leader, who was seen in a video footage firing on students during the recent student movement in Feni's Sharshadi union, placed on a four-day remand.
Senior Judicial Magis-trate Nusrat Mostari passed the order on Thursday after investigating officer SI Anwar Hossain produced Samrat before the court seeking a 10-day remand.
