BNP delegation meets Trump's official

A BNP delegation, led by its secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, met US President Donald Trump's deputy assistant Lisa Curtis Sunday, reports UNB.

The hour-long meeting that began around 2:45pm was held at US Ambassador Marcia Bernicat's Gulshan residence, a BNP leaders said.

BNP standing committee member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and party vice chairman Abdul Awal Mintoo accompanied Fakhrul at the

meeting.

They, however, declined to talk to reporters after the meeting.

Lisa Curtis arrived in Bangladesh on Friday morning on a three-day official visit and discussed bilateral issues, including security and the Rohingya crisis. She also visited Rohingya camps in Cox's Bazar.
