BNP launches six-day prog to mark 47th founding anniv

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced a six-day programme to celebrate the party's 47th founding anniversary starting August last.

BNP Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan announced the programme at a press conference at the party's Nayapaltan central office in the capital on Wednesday.

BNP will organise a discussion at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh to celebrate the day on August 31.

The party flag will be hoisted at the Nayapaltan central office and all BNP offices across the country on the morning of September 1. Leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates will place wreaths at the grave of party founder Ziaur Rahman and offer Fatiha.

In addition, the party's district and city units will hold meetings and colorful rallies across the country on the same day.

On September 2, a colorful rally will be held in front of the BNP's Nayapaltan central office. On September 3, all BNP upazila and municipal units will hold rallies and discussions.

On September 4, the party will hold several mass programmes across the country, including releasing fish fry, planting trees and organising sports events and free medical camps.

On September 5, the party will organise a roundtable discussion on contemporary political issues as part of its founding anniversary celebrations.
