TANGAIL, July 10, (BSS): State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salauddin Tuku has said the government remains committed to implementing the July Charter, noting that the Prime Minister has repeatedly made the government's position clear.
Speaking to journalists after inaugurating a passenger complaint centre at the Tangail New Bus Stand on Friday, Tuku said the BNP, as a signatory to the July Charter, would implement the charter in full.
"The Prime Minister has spoken on several occasions about implementing the July Charter and has made the government's position clear. BNP, as a signatory to the charter, will implement it point by point," he said.
Responding to political criticism, Tuku said many statements are made for political reasons and do not warrant a response.
