BNP won't press for polls timeline, says Khasru

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowddhury has said his party does not want to put pressure on the interim government for holding national polls within a timeframe.
"We (BNP) have earlier mentioned giving a logical time (to the interim government) for holding national polls. The length of of logical time will be determined by the stakeholders," he told journalists after Acting Australian High Commissioner Nardia Simpson called on BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at party chairperson's political office at Gulshan in the capital on Wednesday.
Asked whether the Australian envoy inquired about the timeline of election he replied, "We don't want to put pressure on the interim government just merely for holding national polls within a specific deadline,” he said
