Case filed against Hasina, Momtaz, Tarana, Shomi

A case has been filed against 17 people, including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, former lawmakers Tarana Halim and Momtaz Begum, actor Shomi Kaiser for allegedly attempting to murder BNP activist Syed Hasan Mahmud, reports BSS.

Mahmud filed the case with the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Belal Hossain on Wednesday. The court, after recording the statement of the complainant, asked the Criminal Investigation Agency (CID) to probe the allegations and submit a report.

The other accused include Obaidul Quader, Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Anisul Huq, Hasan Mahmud, Dilip Barua and Harun Ur-Rashid.
