The CEC made the call while speaking at a pre-preparatory meeting in the capital's Nirbachan on Thursday.

After the meeting, EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed said, "All the agencies are making every possible effort to ensure a peaceful, acceptable and widely acceptable election, with the capacity to respond swiftly to any situation."
He reiterated that the EC's clear message is to maintain a festive, peaceful and fair election, stressing that every agency must perform its duties with responsibility and without compromise.
"No deviation from the code of conduct will be tolerated," he warned.
To maintain the law and order and prevent misinformation, the EC will form a monitoring cell and a cyber security cell with representatives from various forces and organisations, he said.
