The meeting was held in a cordial and warm atmosphere at the opposition leader's office in the capital's Bashundhara area on Tuesday.
During the meeting, the Ambassador congratulated Dr. Shafiqur Rahman on his election as the Leader of the Opposition in the Jatiya Sangsad and wished him every success in his new role.
Deputy Head of Mission at the Chinese Embassy Dr Liu Yuying, Director of the Political Section Zhang Jing, Jamaat Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, and MP Barrister Mir Ahmed Bin Kasem Arman were also present at the meeting.
