Cops arrest three, as AL supporters bring out procession in city

Police detained on Friday three Awami League supporters when they brought out a procession in the capital's Dhanmondi 27 No area. The AL supporters, numbering between 25 and 30, brought out the procession during evening on the day. They chanted slogans in favour of the ousted prime minister, Sheikh Hasina. Seeing the procession, local people chased them off, caught three persons and handed them over to policemen of Mohammadpur Police Station. The nabbed persons are member of central Jubo Mahila League Laboni (35) and party stalwarts Sirajul (45) and Taju (30).

Additional Deputy Police Commissioner of Tejgaon zone Jewel Rana confirmed that the three persons were detained from the procession. However, what types of measures were taken against the nabbed persons were yet to be known as of filing this report at 8:30 pm (Friday).
