Cops nab two neo-JMB men

The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on Wednesday arrested two neo-JMB members in the city in possession of explosives.

The two were arrested from Gabtoli area of the capital and law enforcers recovered 25 detonators from the possession of the arrestees named Md Sobur Mia ails Hokkul, 22, and Ringku Mia, 19.

On a tip off, the law enforcers conducted a raid in Gabtoli bus terminal and arrested the duo with the detonators and two locally-made sharp weapons.

During a primary interrogation, the arrestees admitted that they were forging unity in the neighbourhood to commit subversive activities.

A case has also been filed with the Darussalam police station in this connected, says a DMP press release.
