Country witnesses enormous dev under AL term: Amu

Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu said on Sunday the country has witnessed massive development in all fields including education sector whenever Awami League assumes office, reports BSS.

\"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has nationalised over 26,000 of primary schools including that of private registered and community schools. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman had also nationalised some 37,000 primary schools after independence," he said.

The minister also said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken this bold initiative following the policy of Bangabandhu. No other government except Awami League had taken such initiative.

Amu made the comments while addressing a function as the chief guest after distributing stipends among the meritorious students at the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) Auditorium in the city's Motijheel area.
