Court frames charges against Bodi for illegal assets

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 13: The court framed charges on Sunday against the former lawmaker of ruling Awami League (AL) Abdur Rahman Bodi in connection with a case of the Anti-corruption Commission (ACC) for his illegal assets.
The Acting Judge of the Divisional Special Session Judge court Md Ismail Hossain framed the charges against the former MP of Cox's Bazar-04 constituency Abdur Rahman Bodi and fixed October 15 as the next date of hearing.
Lawyer of ACC Advocate Mahamudul Haque Mahmud said, "According to the first information report (FIR) of the case, Abdur Rahman Bodi hid assets of Tk 43,43,994 and achieved illegal assets of Tk 66,70,000. He is now on bail from higher court."
