Court sends Billal murder suspect Mahin to jail

A Dhaka metropolitan magistrate court on Sunday ordered the imprisonment of Md. Al Amin Mahin, 37, after the completion of his four-day remand in a case filed over the murder of Billal Hossain, former convener of Ramna Thana unit of the Jatiotabadi Swechchhasebak Dal, reports BSS.

Police produced Mahin before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court after the remand period ended and sought his detention in jail until the investigation is completed. Following a hearing, Metropolitan Magistrate Jewel Rana passed the order. Earlier on June 11 last, Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Zakir Hossain had granted a four-day remand for Mahin.
