Dhaka airport declared closed for six hours

Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport was announced closed for six hours from 6:00 pm on Monday, following the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her departure from Bangladesh.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the public relations division of the Bangladesh Armed Forces, announced the closure in a press release.
All airport operations ceased at 4:54 pm on Monday, according to Group Captain Muhammed Kamrul Islam, executive director of Dhaka airport.
He added that updated information about the airport would be released later.
Airport sources said many people entered the airport after Sheikh Hasina's resignation.
