Dialogue is only way to resolve ongoing crisis: Jamaat Ameer

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman on Saturday emphasised discussions, saying all issues can be resolved through dialogue, reports BSS.

"We firmly believe that every problem has a solution through discussion...Our political mission is rooted in serving the country and its people," he said. Dr Shafiqur made these remarks while addressing the inaugural session of Jamaat's six-monthly Central Majlish-e-Shura at Al-Falah Auditorium in the capital's Moghbazar as the chief guest.

He mentioned that the party's executive council has urged the government to initiate all-party talks, stressing that "dialogue is the only way to resolve the ongoing crisis, and it is the government's responsibility to take the first step."

Calling for an immediate declaration of a reform and electoral roadmap, the Jamaat Ameer said, "It has been nine months since promises of change were made, yet the people have seen no tangible action."
