DINAJPUR, Dec 26 (BSS): Police in a drive arrested an Awami League (AL) leader from Nimnagar Fhulbari area of the district town on Thursday in a case filed for attacking the anti-discrimination student agitation, reports BSS.
The arrested was AHM Shamin Alam Sarker Babu, 55, president of the district town AL.
Shamim was produced before the court at around 02.30 pm. In the court, his bail petition has been rejected. Subsequently, he was sent to jail, Court Inspector M Mahamudul Alam said.
