Disorder at religious sites to invite legal action: Kaikobad

CUMILLA, Feb 20 (BSS): Newly appointed Religious Affairs MinisterKazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad has said that ensuring security at all religious institutions is a responsibility, and the government will make every effort to fulfill this duty.

"If anyone attempts to create disorder, they will immediately be brought under the law. Legal action will be taken against them without any delay," he said while talking to journalists at his residence at Muradnagar upazila in the district.

After taking office as the Minister of Religious Affairs, he visited his constituency for the first time and met with party leaders, activists, and voters.

Expressing firm determination that prices of essential commodities will not increase during Ramadan, he said the Prime Minister has already instructed the Ministry of Commerce to keep the prices under control.

"We are committed to controlling prices. The Prime Minister is very conscious so that ordinary people do not suffer. I believe commodity prices will remain within control," he added.

Regarding the recent increase in Hajj expenses, the minister said they will continue working under the Prime Minister's directives to ensure that people can enjoy all facilities.

"People should be able to say, by the grace of Allah, that we are receiving better opportunities and facilities than in the past. We will certainly ensure that," he said.
