Dr Kamal convenes Ganoforum's CCC meeting Oct 17

In the wake of an extended meeting by a faction of the party, Ganoforum president Dr Kamal Hossain has convened a meeting of its central convening committee (CCC) on October 17, reports UNB.

"Our central convening committee will meet on October 17 at the National Press Club. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10:30 am," party General Secretary Reza Kibria told the news agency.

He said his party president convened the meeting and he will join it virtually due to the prevailing coronavirus situation.

Reza Kibria said the meeting will work out the party's next course of action and approve some organisational decisions taken by the party.

He said his party president dissolved the central committee on March 04 and formed a 70-member convening one on March 12.

On September 26, a faction of Ganoforum leaders, led by its former general secretary Mostafa Mohsin Montu, executive presidents Dr Abu Sayeed and Subrata Chowdhury, had an extended meeting of the party's central committee where they decided to hold a national council on December 26 next.
