DU forms body to create structured framework for student politics

Dhaka University (DU) authorities have formed a five-member committee to create a structured framework for student politics on campus and in residential halls through consultations with students and other stakeholders.

The committee was formed on Thursday in accordance with a decision made at the SMT meeting held on 13 August.

The members are Prof. Dr. Mohammad Siddiquur Rahman, dean of the Faculty of Arts; Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun, provost of Salimullah Muslim Hall; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nazmul Hossain, provost of Muktijoddha Ziaur Rahman Hall; Prof. Dr. Aleya Begum, provost of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall; and Dr. Nazmujjaman Buyan, Faculty of Law.
