Election campaign launched for Fakhrul in Thakurgaon

THAKURGAON, Jan 22, (BSS): Election campaign in support of BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir began on Thursday in the Thakurgaon-1 (Sadar) constituency ahead of the upcoming 13th national election.

Thakurgaon District BNP President and Mirza Fakhrul's younger brother Mirza Faisal Amin inaugurated the campaign around 12:00 noon on the premises of Riverview High School in the district town.

Accompanied by party leaders and activists, well-wishers, and his friends from the 1979 batch of Thakurgaon Government Boys' High School, Faisal Amin went door to door, seeking votes and prayers from the general public in support of the Sheaf of Paddy symbol.

He said, "There is no alternative to the BNP to restore democracy in the country.”
