Ex-addl AG Mehedi, Gazipur AL leader Riaz held

Former Additional Attorney General (AG) Barrister Md Mehedi Hasan Chowdhury and Gazipur Metropolitan Awami League Advisory Council member Riaz Mahmud have been arrested from Jhenaidah district while trying to cross the border illegally, reports UNB.

Jhenaidah police arrested them while they were trying to cross the border on Tuesday night, according to sources at Police Headquarters.

Both of them were arrested as they were 'ezhar listed' accused in two separate cases filed with Adabor thana under Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and Bason thana under Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP).
