Ex-chief of BCL Rangpur Metro unit held

RANGPUR, Mar 25(BSS): Police have arrested former president of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Rangpur Metropolitan unit Shafiur Rahman Swadhin in an attempted murder case related to the anti-discrimination student movement during the July Uprising.

Ataur Rahman, officer-in-charge (OC) of Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali Police Station confirmed the arrest on Tuesday.

Earlier, Shafiur Rahman Swadhin was arrested from Rangpur Government Girls' High School premises in the city on Monday night.
