Ex-lawmaker Morshed Alam sent to jail

A Dhka court has sent to jail former lawmaker from Noakhali-2 constituency and Bengal Group Chairman Morshed Alam, showing him arrested in a case lodged over the murder of a schoolboy Shamim in the capital's Dhanmandi area during the July-August mass uprising, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahin Reza passed the order on Wednesday as police produced the accused before the court and pleaded to keep him behind the bars until the end of the probe.
