Abdur Razzaque and Faruk Khan, two former ministers in the Awami League administration, have been remanded for two days each for interrogation in police custody in separate cases, report agencies.
Two Dhaka metropolitan magistrates made the decisions after hearings on Tuesday
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubul Haque passed the remand order of Abdur Razzaque as police produced Razzaque before the court and pleaded to place him on seven-day remand in the case.
Meanwhile, A Dhaka court has placed former civil aviation and tourism minister Lt Colonel (Retd) Faruk Khan on two-day remand in a case lodged over the murder of BNP activist Md Mokbul in the capital.
He was from his house in Dhaka cantonment area on Monday night.
