A Dhaka court on day placed former lawmaker of Chattogram-15 constituency Abu Reza Mohammad Nezamuddin Nadvi on a one-day remand, reports BSS.
Nadvi was taken in remand in a case filed for killing Ideal College student Khalid Hasan Saifullah during the July-August movement.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mostafizur Rahman issed the remand order as police produced Nadvi before the court and pleaded for 10-day remand.
Saifullah was killed during student-people upsurge in Azimpur Government Residential area on July 18.
Kamrul Hasan, father of Saifullah, filed the case with Lalbag police on August 19 in which 52 Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League supporters including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina were accused.
Police arrested Nadvi on Sunday.
