Ex-MP Nur Mohammad sent to jail

A Dhaka court on Wednesday sent former Jamalpur-1 lawmaker Nur Mohammad to jail after end of his three-day remand in a case filed with Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station under the Anti-Terrorism Act, reports BSS.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Raju Ahmed passed the order as police produced him before the court and pleaded to keep him behind bars till the end of probe.

The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ariful Islam on June 28 placed the former lawmaker on a three-day remand in the case.
