Ex-MP Rana finally released from jail

TANGAIL, July 09 (UNB): Former Awami League MP from Tangail-3 (Ghatail) Amanur Rahman Khan Rana was released from jail on bail on Tuesday, after two years and 10 months.

He walked out of Tangail District Jail around 9:30am after his bail order reached the prison, said Jail Super Abul Bashar.

On Monday, the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court upheld the bail granted by the High Court to Rana in a case filed over the killing of two Jubo League leaders.
