COMILLA, Dec 24 (UNB): Awami League (AL) general secretary Obaidul Quader claimed on Sunday an expatriate BNP leader in Sweden is controlling killers' group and others, who are responsible for the recent incidents of enforced disappearances and murders.

"An arrested BNP leader confessed under section 164 that the Sweden expatriate leader had involvement in petrol bomb attack and terrorist activities," he said.

The AL leader came up with the comments while talking to reporters during his visit to railway overpass in Paduar Bazar of Comilla.

He said the BNP leader from the Sweden is leading the gang behind the criminal activities including enforced disappearance and killing.

Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, however, didn't divulge the name of the BNP expatriate leader that he was referring to.

"Ershad now will say that he has won in Rangpur city election. But we did not hear anything from Ershad about upcoming national election. We have to wait more to know his comment on the national election," said Quader while responding to a question on the recent RCC election.
