'FB posts claiming SSF DG sheltered crime accused fabricated'

Facebook (FB) posts claiming that DG of SSF had sheltered crime accused Ali Hussain Shishir in his apartment are fabricated, the chief adviser's press wing said on Saturday, reports BSS.

It mentioned that a statement from a spokesperson of SSF said Hossain rented the DG's flat, introducing himself as a garment factory owner of Narsingdi.

A valid tenancy contract with him was signed on legal stamps, he said.

"The question of sheltering a crime accused in his home does not arise. When police came to arrest him at around 03:45 am on January 18, the DG had asked them to take him away and take necessary action as per laws," the spokesperson said.
