Former food secy Ismail Hossain on remand

Former food secretary Ismail Hossain was taken on a two-day police remand from the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court in the capital on Saturday, reports BSS.

The Immigration Police detained him at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at about 10:00 pm Friday night when he was trying to fly for the United States of America (USA). He was later handed over to the Biman Bandar thana.

The former secretary was produced before the Metropolitan Magistrate (MM) Court of GM Farhan Ishtiaq.
