Front an extension of BNP-Jamaat, says Menon

Terming Jatiya Oikyafront an extension of BNP-Jamaat, Workers Party (WP) president and Social Welfare Minister Rashed Khan Menon said on Monday Jamaat will take part in the next national election under the umbrella of Jatiya Oikyafront, reports BSS.

He urged the countrymen to remain alert about this ploy of BNP and Jatiya Oikyafront and said this anti-liberation and anti-development force should not be allowed to come to

the power for the sake of maintaining the present pace of development.

Menon said this while speaking at the WP's parliamentary party meeting at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the city, said a press release.

There are seven MPs of WP in the current JS. They evaluated their five-year activities in the JS and hoped that the number of MPs from WP would be double in the nextparliament. The meeting said WP will continue to play a stronger role for the people's interest.
