Shahbagh youths brought out a procession in the capital on Wednesday to celebrate one year of Ganajagaran Mancha, reports UNB.

People from all walks of life, including university teachers and cultural personalities, took part in the rally.

The procession, led by Ganajagaran Mancha spokesman Imran H Sarkar, started from Shahbagh Chattar at 5 pm and ended at the same venue after parading Karwanbazar and Raju Sculpture at Dhaka University.

At the beginning of the rally, the Ganajagaran Mancha activists took a vow to continue their movement until their demands-capital punishment of all war criminals, imposing ban on Jamaat-Shibir politics and taking stern action against people involved in communal violence in the country-are met.

They urged all to come forward to create a strong resistance against sectarian attacks with a view to building a secular country.
