Govt to name local roads after FFs, says minister

Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Huq said on Sunday roads at all the district as well as upazila levels will be named after the freedom fighters (FF) , reports BSS.

With this, people of those areas will be aware of the contribution of the nation's heroes to the Liberation War, he opined.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function of Bogra district Freedom Fighters' Technical School and College, said a press release.

"The government is working to name the roads after FFs, so that people know about the FFs of their area," he said.

He also stressed the need for establishing memorials at district and upazila levels in the memory of freedom fighters so that people of the respective areas can pay tributes to the greatest sons of the soil.
