HC orders Cumilla court to dispose of Khaleda's bail plea in seven days

The High Court on Monday directed a Cumilla Special Judge Court to dispose of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's bail petition in an arson case filed under the Special Powers Act within a week, reports UNB.

The HC also cancelled its earlier order that granted bail to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia for six months in the case filed in Cumilla.

The HC bench of Justice AKM Asaduzzaman and Justice SM Mozibur Rahman came up with the order after hearing arguments on whether the appeal filed by Khaleda seeking bail in the case was acceptable or not.

Earlier on July 17, Khaleda Zia filed a petition before the court seeking bail in the case.
