Home minister smells plot behind attack on Hindus in Rangpur

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said on Tuesday there might be a conspiracy behind the Thakurpara arson attack on the Hindu community people, reports UNB.

"The Rangpur incident is the recurrence of Brahmanbaria's Nasirnagar one. There might be a plot behind it," he said.

The minister came up with the remarks while talking to reporters at Ramna Police Convention Centre after joining a reception accorded to those police members who put up the first resistance against Pakistani occupation forces at Rajarbagh on March 26, 1971.

Earlier in the day, the minister visited Thakurbari village in Rangpur.
