Inu terms media safeguard of democracy

Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said on Wednesday the media is the sentinel of democracy, reports BSS.

He came up with the remark while speaking at the 13th founding anniversary of the daily Amader Shomoy.

Managing director of Amader Shomoy, also managing director of Unique Group, Noor Ali and the newspaper's acting editor, Golam Sarwar were present on the occasion.

The information minister said democracy and press are the two sides of the same coin.
