Jahangir takes charge as Gazipur mayor today

GAZIPUR, Sept 03 (BSS): Jahangir Alam, who sworn in as the new mayor of Gazipur City Corporation (GCC) after winning the June 26 election, takes charge of the office today (Tuesday).
On the occasion, an installation ceremony will be held at Vawal Rajbari Filed in the district around 11:00 am.
Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain will be present as the chief guest.
Jahangir, an Awami League nominated candidate, won the June 26 election to become the second mayor of the Gazipur City Corporation.
