Jatiya Chhatra Shakti unveils central, DU committees

Jatiya Chhatra Shakti, the student wing of the National Citizen Party (NCP), has announced its partial central and Dhaka University (DU) unit committees. The new committees were declared on Friday night.

In the central committee, Jahid Ahsan has been made president, and Abu Bakar Mojumdar has been appointed general secretary. Abu Touhid Md Siam has been made organising secretary (North Zone), while Mahir Alam will serve as organising secretary (South Zone).

For the Dhaka University unit, Tahmid Al Muddassir Chowdhury has been made president, Al Amin Sarkar general secretary, and Md. Saifullah organising secretary.

Jahid Ahsan previously served as the central member secretary of the Bangladesh Ganatantrik Chhatra Sangshad. Central general secretary Abu Bakar Mojumdar, a student of the Department of Geology at DU, was one of the coordinators of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.

DU unit president Tahmid Al Muddassir Chowdhury was the chief organiser of BGCS and had contested as an independent candidate for the assistant general secretary position in the DUCSU election.

DU general secretary Al Amin Sarkar contested the DUCSU election for the sports secretary position from the BGCS panel. He was also the senior joint member secretary of the organisation's DU committee.
