JCD to form human chains today to protest violence against women

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), the student wing of the BNP, has announced that it will organise human chains in educational institutions across the country today (Monday) to protest the growing incidents of rape, online harassment and violence against women, reports UNB.

The programme also aims to register a protest against the deterioration of law and order in the country, alongside the widespread lack of justice for victims of such crimes.

JCD President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir made the announcement in a press release, signed by the organisation's office secretary M Jahangir Alam on Sunday.

The JCD president and general secretary called upon all their members, leaders, and activists to actively participate in the programme to make it a success.
