JL leader Sohagh sent to jail in attempt to murder case

A Dhaka court has sent to jail Jubo League (JL) organising secretary Dr Shamim Al Saiful Sohagh in a case lodged over allegedly attempting to murder one Mizan in the capital's Banani area, reports BSS.
Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sanaullah passed the order on Tuesday as police produced the Jubo League leader before the court and pleaded to keep him behind the bars in the case.
Dr Shamim Al Saiful was arrested on November 11 while returning after paying homage at the grave of Jubo League founding chairman Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni in the capital’s Banani Graveyard.
According to the case documents, Mizan aged 12 got shot on July 18 as he waspassing by the anti-discrimination rally beside the Mohakhali Railgate area.
Later, his father filed the case against 47 including ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina.
